The stock iKamper rails are intended to have brackets that grab and sandwich a vehicle's roof rails, but with the low profile of the Victory rack, the iKamper mounts would not work. These brackets allowed for working room between the Victory rack and the iKamper, permitting tools and hardware between the two. Mounting the iKamper would be a serious challenge without these brackets. We sourced stainless 1/4-20 hardware locally to make the connections. But the mounts are too slim. Wish they were a little taller. I see how it was being passed off as a highlift mount and/or rtt mount but feel the rtt mounts should have a little more height. Even a 1/2" taller would be a huge improvement. Can't get my hand underneath to bolt down the rtt. Quality and build is great. I have a lot of victory4x4 products but this would probably be best for the highlift mount not for an RTT.

Note From Victory 4x4: Hey JH, thanks for the review. At the shop, we install the crossbars on the RTT on the ground (using a tape to measure for location) and then lift the whole assembly onto the roof and bolt it in the side rails. The same is true when we pull the tent, we leave it attached to the crossbars and remove them from the side rails and store it with the bars attached. We do sell extra crossbars so you can drop empty ones in their place. We've found this makes installing and removing a tent super easy with less smashing hands in places they aren't meant to fit. You would have to provide your own hardware. Q daniel • 05/01/2020, 2:17:22 PM Can these tent mounts work on other roof racks or are they specifically made for Victory racks? A 05/04/2020, 10:07:42 AM They will likely work with other racks that have t-slots. Q Dick Watson • 05/28/2020, 2:56:49 AM I just bought a No Boundaries 10.6 trailer an came with a Rhino rack an wonder will these work with it an a CVT rooftop tent. Thank you A 06/01/2020, 10:08:59 AM They are designed to be pretty universal, but we haven't personally tested them with a Rhino Rack. Q Zack Berk • 08/23/2020, 5:34:52 PM I am interested in mounting a tuff stuff alpha to my victory 4 x 4 roof rack on my 4Runner. Would I need your roof top tent adapters for this application? A 08/26/2020, 9:52:51 AM The mounts included with the tent may work but having the Victory 4x4 roof top tent mounts/spacing the tent up off the rack would make it easier to mount. Q Chance Karshens • 09/05/2020, 7:34:37 PM Do the RTT brackets need any extra hardware to connect with tent? A 09/09/2020, 3:00:07 PM The tent hardware would be separate. Q Ryan Colleran • 09/23/2020, 8:16:38 AM What would be the proper application for these brackets? I will be mounting an iKamper Skycamp on a short bed Tacoma bed rack. Will I need these brackets for extra clearance above the cab? A 09/24/2020, 11:01:43 AM With just rough measurements you would need to raise that camper 2-3" off the mounting surface of the rack to clear the roof. These mounts only add an 1". You would have to find a different solution to raise the tent up a bit. Q E.W • 09/24/2020, 8:47:45 PM What is the static and dynamic load rating for at RTT with these brackets? A 10/06/2020, 2:30:39 PM We don't have an official rating on these brackets. Q Jerry • 01/18/2021, 9:23:10 PM Are these the same size as the hi-lift brackets? A 01/20/2021, 10:17:38 AM Yes, they are. Tent person A 05/21/2021, 9:59:41 AM The official load ratings of the racks is determined by the load ratings of the vehicle they are mounted to. Q Shanen • 07/29/2021, 1:23:48 PM Are all the holes for 1/4 bolts? Trying to mount an awning that uses m8 bolts. Will these holes fit M8 bolts? I believe m8 bolts require at least 8m of clearance to fit. A 08/12/2021, 4:01:01 PM The tent side holes work with M8 bolts. Q Steve Lange • 02/26/2022, 9:17:18 AM What size U bolt will I need to mount my roof top tent to these brackets? Thanks for the time. A 02/28/2022, 9:24:34 AM Usually the tent will come with carriage bolts or t-bolts that will slide into the t channel on the bottom of the tent. These will then drop into our mounts with a nut on the bottom. Q Courtnry • 04/05/2022, 0:11:24 AM I'm interested in mounting a RTT and an awning to the Victory roof rack. Will these brackets make it possible to mount both? A 04/06/2022, 12:44:49 PM Yes, you can use the RTT mounts and our awning mounts at the same time. Q Robby • 06/15/2022, 2:21:44 AM Do I need to use these to mount an FSR Odyssey tent to a victory 200 series roof rack? Would you recommend setting up that tent with or without these mounts. I'm trying to look at the build photos to see if they are used but I cant tell A 06/22/2022, 2:01:57 PM Yes, we would use these. If you plan on removing the tent often, we would order two more crossbars (part: XAL) as well and remove the tent by unbolting the two crossbars that the tent is mounted to from the side rails of the rack. Then put the bare crossrails in their place. This way you can leave the tent assembly adjusted and it's quick to re-install. They are made for 5/16" hardware. Q Aaron • 11/13/2023, 11:58:11 PM Are the RTT brackets the same height as the awning mounts. The problem I have is that the awning mounts get in the way of the RTT sitting level. Would the RTT brackets level it out? A 11/22/2023, 12:10:36 PM The awning mounts would sit higher than the RTT mounts. The RTT mounts are only 7/8ths " tall. You'll likely have to offset your tent to the opposite side of the awning. Excellent! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TIM (Washington) | July 3rd, 2021 These brackets were exactly what we needed to mount our iKamper to our 100 series. As the previous reviewer stated this is for a more 'permanent' install, but if removing the tent were necessary(and possible in my situation) I'd simply remove the hardware holding the Victory rails in place and lift the tent up and off the car. Not really sure... ★ ★ ★ ★ Lisa (Utah) | August 2nd, 2021 I have the Victory rack on my 5th gen 4Runner and I have a Roofnest RTT. It's super hard to access the tie downs for the tent through the small side holes of the rack so I bought these thinking I'd have more room. I was wrong. It lifted the tent a little (which is nice, I still like the slim profile on the roof), but I still can't get in to tighten all the bolts down. I need to figure out a better way that doesn't involve me removing the crossbars because it's also really difficult to line up those tiny holes and bolts when you have a tent strapped to them. Sigh. The brackets themselves are good quality and easy to mount to the crossbars. Solid build, not very useful for my purposes ★ ★ ★ ★ Derek (TX) | February 24th, 2021 I got these to mount my Trailhead tent to my cap rack, but I found these mounts just added time to getting my tent bolted down and secured. They might be great if you don't plan on moving the tent around at all and don't a more permanent system. I will likely repurpose these and use them to mount some traction boards instead though since the mounts are really sturdy. too slim ★ ★ ★ Jh (CA) | January 19th, 2022 Got these mounts for an RTT on the victory roof rack for a GX460 to prevent squeaking because the rtt lays across all crossbars (which is great for load distribution) but I wanted a quieter drive without the constant squeak. Hope that makes sense, let us know if we can help any other way. FAQ
